Wedding Budget

When setting up your wedding budget there are some little things you’ll want to make sure you include that can really add up if you aren’t prepared.  Lets start with the wedding attire.  Does the budget you have for your gown account for the headpiece?  The veil?   The shoes?  The garter?  What about the alterations?  How about the slip?  And, what about those fabulous shoes?  Now for the tux….does the budget allow for shoes?  Those are usually rented for an additional fee. Pocket squares?  How about the reception?  Does your venue charge to cut your cake?  Is the gratuity for the wait staff included in the dinner bill?  Is there a charge for chairs or covers?  Do they charge extra for their on site planner?  What about the ceremony itself?  Will there be extra charges for decorations?  Will they have the aisle runner or will that be purchased by you?  Is there a separate officiant fee?  Is there a separate fee for the ceremony site?  Don’t forget about all the little things you have to pick up:  cake knife, unity candle, cake topper, guest book, table favors, ring bearer pillow and/or flower girl basket.   When you are picking out your invitations, think of your budget when picking out ink, lettering styles, save the date cards, programs, place cards.  Don’t forget about the postage to send them out and the postage needed on the RSVP cards.  When asking Bridesmaids and Groomsman don’t forget…..for every person asked that’s one more gift to purchase.   When setting your wedding budget take some time to really think about what you want for your wedding.  Write it all down, even the little things because they can add up quickly and put your budget over the top.
